West Bottoms business moves into Leawood retail location

Restoration Emporium, which is a vintage-inspired retailer that is based out of the West Bottoms, officially has a third location in Leawood’s Park Place.

According to The Kansas City Star, the store signed a permanent lease for a space at 11543 Ash St. that it previously used as a holiday pop-up store.

Jeff Huff, along with his wife, Chrysalyn, first opened their store in January 2011 inside a former train dock at 1300 Liberty St.

“We thought it would be fun to open a little store, but our little store just blew up on us. We expanded four times in 16 months,” Chrysalyn Huff previously told the Kansas City Business Journal about the store’s growth.

Restoration Emporium’s first location is a 30,000-square-foot, five-story building in the West Bottoms. In 2015, the company opened its second location in a house at 612 E. 135th St. in the Martin City area of Kansas City.

The vintage-inspired home decor and home furnishing company works with about 45 area vendor partners.
