The Leawood City Council gave Final Plan approval at their meeting on October 16 for a new Element hotel to be constructed in the Cornerstone development, just to the north of Church of the Resurrection in the 135th Street Corridor area between Nall and Roe.
This upscale 110 room facility will add a second lodging choice for visitors to the Leawood area and will include amenities such as small kitchenettes in each of the rooms.
Constuction is expected to begin within the next 3-4 months depending on the weather.
