For the second year in a row, the website Wallethub has named Leawood the number one best small city in America.
Leawood tops the 2019 list of “Best Small Cities in America” which compared more than 1,200 cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000. Among the considerations that gave Leawood an edge were its exceptionally low levels of poverty, highly educated population and relatively affordable housing. Leawood scored second overall in the “affordability” categories and finished among the top 100 in the “economic health” and “education and health” categories.
